British furniture maker Bisley will unveil a new colour called Emerald at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, positioning the shade as a versatile option for modern workplaces.
Emerald appears in the revamped Clerkenwell showroom
The hue is being displayed inside the company’s newly redesigned showroom, which forms part of the larger exhibition titled “The Layers of Design: Where Colour, Material and Smart Technology Meet.” The installation aims to demonstrate how colour can interact with material choices and integrated technology to shape interior environments that feel both functional and considered.
According to the presentation, Emerald is a jewel‑toned green intended to add depth and balance. It can be applied in large swaths or used more discreetly on individual furniture pieces. The shade pairs well with the brand’s existing palette, including the neutral tones Natural Canvas and Regent, as well as brighter hues such as Seville and Ocean Blue. This flexibility gives designers a broader range of options when planning office schemes.
Practical applications across product lines
The maker notes that the colour will be available across its catalog, from traditional filing units like the MultiDrawer series to newer collections such as Outline and Deco. It can provide a “cohesive way to introduce depth and character” in both individual workstations and open‑plan areas.

In addition to the launch, an Innovation Hub called BeSmart® is opening within the same space. The hub showcases intelligent storage solutions designed to be secure, flexible and adaptable to future needs. Together, the hue and the hub are presented as part of a broader narrative about how design, material, and technology can align in office settings.
Green tones are frequently linked to growth, restoration and well‑being.
The introduction aligns with a growing trend toward experience‑focused workplace design. The maker frames the new shade as a calm yet confident presence that can energise and ground a space at the same time.
Visitors to Clerkenwell Design Week are invited to view Emerald in the showroom and see how it might be applied in real‑world settings. Further details are available on the firm’s CDW profile and additional information about the colour launch.
