OnOffice Product Award Winners Announced

The inaugural OnOffice Product Awards announced its winners this week, highlighting a range of office furniture and design solutions that blend innovation with sustainability.

Top honors across categories

In the workspace segment, the award went to Your Workspace – Your Workpod Smart. Judges praised the product’s interior layout and the use of acoustic panels crafted from recycled plastic bottles, noting the combination of aesthetic appeal and environmental consideration.

Among the highly commended entries, Hushoffice – hushFree.S.Hybrid stood out for its smart ventilation system and features that support inclusivity and neurodiversity, reflecting a growing focus on health‑centric office environments.

For collaborative tables, Humanscale – Float Adjustable Collaborative Tables secured the top spot. They highlighted the effortless counter‑balance height adjustment and the clean, adaptable design that can serve varied work styles. Leandesk also received recognition for its blend of creativity and contemporary form, though it fell short of the winning mark.

In seating, the Knoll Biboni Sofa earned a highly commended label. Its sculptural silhouette and ergonomic comfort were noted as both stylish and functional for informal or collaborative spaces.

Design sustainability is now mainstream.

The carpet tile category was won by Shaw Contract – Creative Connections Carpet Tile Collection. The panel was impressed by the rich textural detailing and the modular flexibility that allows designers to customize patterns across large areas.

A close runner‑up, Amtico Signature – Designers’ Choice, received a commendation for its refined, pre‑curated patterns and a high level of design precision that aligns with modern interior trends.

Chair awards went to Humanscale – World Chair, praised for intuitive ergonomics and a lightweight, pared‑back construction that suits a variety of office settings. The jury highlighted the Herman Miller – Mirra 2 for its adaptive support and durable, performance‑driven build, highlighting the brand’s long‑standing reputation for ergonomic excellence.

Materials innovation was recognized with the win for Ultrafabrics – Volar Bio. The committee emphasized the product’s commitment to renewable materials while delivering premium performance with a reduced environmental footprint. The Arper UK – Catifa (RE) 46 also earned a commendation for its use of recycled components and thoughtful circular‑design approach.

The awards program attracted a larger number of submissions than anticipated, and the quality of entries reflected a notable shift toward sustainable practices in office design.

Comparing this first edition to similar industry recognitions, the emphasis on recycled content and inclusivity mirrors trends seen in earlier sustainability awards, where manufacturers increasingly prioritize circularity and user well‑being. This pattern suggests that environmental and health considerations are becoming baseline expectations rather than differentiators.

Organizers expressed gratitude to all participating brands and indicated plans to expand the program next year, aiming for broader categories and deeper engagement with emerging technologies.
