The United Arab Emirates continues to lead worldwide in the construction of high-rise towers, a momentum largely fueled by private-sector funding. Data from the Skyscraper Center shows that, as of July 2026, Dubai is responsible for six of the twenty tallest structures presently being built globally. This cluster reinforces the emirate’s role as the foremost skyscraper centre in the Middle East. Moreover, every one of the ten highest-rise projects under way across the UAE is located in Dubai, showing ongoing investment in premium property and the growing tourism market.

Looking ahead to the end of the decade, Dubai is expected to unveil a series of new super-tall edifices, each surpassing the 500-metre mark. Such growth will cement the city’s position as the region with the greatest concentration of ultra-tall buildings outside of China. Among the flagship schemes is the Tiger Sky Tower, slated for completion in 2029. Rising to 532 metres in Business Bay, the mixed-use development by Tiger Properties will host luxury apartments, penthouses, a hotel, and unique attractions that include a rainforest environment, an infinity pool and an observation deck.

In the Dubai Marina district, the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, jointly developed by Select Group and Six Senses, is scheduled to be finished by 2028. The wellness-oriented tower will reach 517 metres, contain more than 120 floors and provide sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf. Another notable addition to the Marina skyline is the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower, a 450-metre residential clock tower bearing the brand’s name, with completion targeted for 2027.

Further significant projects are underway across the city. The Binghatti Skyblade, a slender residential highrise in Business Bay designed by Binghatti Developers, is planned to stand 357 metres tall and be completed in 2029. Downtown Dubai will also see the rise of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai, a 350-metre mixed-use luxury hotel and branded-residence complex expected to open in 2030. Additionally, the Rixos Financial Center Road Dubai Residences, a 348-metre luxury residential tower operating under the Rixos hospitality brand, is slated for delivery in 2028 by a domestic developer.
